Custodian Appreciation: Meet Travis Hengerer! Travis is one of the friendly faces you'll see around campus. He was kind enough to lend us a bit of time to tell us about himself.

Q: How long have you been working here at SCIT?
A: I've been here a little over one year.

Q: Do you have a favorite spot on campus where you like to hang out when you're taking a break?
A: Yes! On the patio right outside the Corner Café.

Q: What's something people would be surprised to learn about you?
A: I like to garden, I go to a lot of concerts, and I know how to sing.

Q: If you weren't working as a custodian, what would you be doing instead?
A: I would probably own a brewery.

We are pleased and grateful to have Travis play a valuable part of SCIT operations. Shoutout to Travis!

In partnership with the American Council on Education, the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching classified Southern California Institute of Technology within the category of Opportunity Colleges and Universities.

Under this classification, SCIT is deemed an institution that exceeds the thresholds for higher access and higher earnings. SCIT bears this classification with pride and honor as we prioritize our student-first approach to hands-on technical education.

Fun fact: Along with our eight-month programs, SCIT also offers associate bachelor's degrees designed to allow students to gain field experience while simultaneously working toward a degree.

We hold New Student Orientation every five weeks right before the term begins.

June 29th is our next start date. Start off your summer right by kicking off your career path at SCIT.

We are closed this upcoming Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. Regular class hours will resume the following day. Enjoy the break and we'll see you on Tuesday for the first day of term!
