Honoring a Visionary Legacy: Dr. Kisho Kurokawa
Anaheim University was honored to pay a special tribute to the late Dr. Kisho Kurokawa—the acclaimed architect, sustainability pioneer, and namesake of the Anaheim University Kisho Kurokawa Green Institute—at the recent Japan–U.S. Leadership Summit at United Nations University in Tokyo on 10/10/25. The tribute recognized Dr. Kurokawa’s enduring global influence on sustainable design and international collaboration, as well as his belief that education and leadership are essential to building a more balanced and resilient future. Reflections were shared by Dr. Yuri Konno, CEO of Dial Service and former Vice-Chair of the Anaheim University Executive Advisory Board during Dr. Kurokawa’s tenure as Chair, along with Mr. Mikio Kurokawa, who spoke movingly about his father’s legacy.Through the Kisho Kurokawa Green Institute, Anaheim University continues to advance his vision by offering online degrees, diplomas, and certificates in Sustainable Management, preparing global leaders to meet today’s environmental and social challenges. His vision lives on—through education, sustainability, and global leadership.
