Meet the Brothers: Jordyn Wills is a Junior Criminal Justice student with a minor in Forensic Psychology. He joined Phi Kappa Theta to “expand [his] social life and become a part of something bigger than [himself]”. His goal in the house is to help foster an atmosphere for continued growth in our younger guys. In life, he would like to become a crime scene investigator and raise a family. His best advice for incoming freshmen and his peers is to find a balance between school and fun stating that “you will absolutely hate your experience if you spend all of your time in your room, but you also will not go anywhere in life if you only party and get bad grades. He was apart of the wrestling team here at Trine where he continued the sport he started in 7th grade and he would love to become a high school coach one day if he has the time.

On Good Friday, the brothers of Phi Kappa Theta and the sisters of Theta Phi Alpha: Gamma Omega had the opportunity to show our support for the athletes of Steuben County Special Olympics.

We helped pass out 100 gift bags, filled with goodies donated by Caleo Cafe, the Trine bookstore, Bon Appétit at Trine , and much more during a mini parade.

Meet the Brothers: Gavin Cercek is a sophomore Design Engineering & Technology student with a minor in Plastics. He joined Phi Kappa Theta to “become closer to the community and to fulfill a greater purpose in life: serving others”. He truly gives, expecting nothing thereof and this is exemplified further when he is asked about his life goals. He wants to “make sure everyone is able to have a good time safely always and to live off the land with the bare necessities and see the true beauty of nature”. He want freshmen to understand that you “shouldn’t be afraid to make friends on campus because more often than not, they can be the difference in having 4 great years”. He is passionate about “helping others, photography, long boarding, and volleyball.

Meet the Brothers: Austen McMillen is a sophomore business administration student that is currently serving as one of our house managers, our IFC representative, and our student government representative. He joined Phi Kappa Theta because he really “enjoyed the atmosphere and quickly established good relationships with the brothers”. Additionally, he “wanted to help in making the house better than it already was”. His goal in life is to “simply have a family and live a decent life”. His best advice for incoming freshmen and his fellow peers is to “find an organization that you identify with and work with them, stay connected, and build your network”. Austen spends his free time playing video, board, and card games, as well as, watching anime and hanging out with his brothers and friends.

Meet the Brothers: Sebastian Iverson is a Sophomore Exercise Science student. Some of his goals within the fraternity are to continue to develop his “leadership skills and have a fun time throughout school”. After school he wants to become a physical therapist and start a family. His best advice is to “meet as many people as possible [because] you never know who you will have a good time with”. He also enjoys snowboarding, scuba diving, league of legends, and call of duty.

Meet the Brothers: Anthony Greenman is a Junior Design Engineering & Technology student with a minor in Polymers. He joined Phi Kappa Theta because of the family aspect that it presented and he appreciates that it is “one of the few places that we can call a home away from home” and he wishes “that others could see that description from our point of view”. He enjoys woodworking and learning how to unite the mind, body, and soul. His goal within the fraternity and in life is to be dependable because “we are all struggling in different ways and no one should battle their demons alone”. He would also like to start his own business making “anything from furniture for aquariums and glass blowing to designing and using a Lichtenberg machine”. His best advice for his fellow peers and incoming freshmen is to be social, stating that “ you never know the possibilities that can open up to an individual until they put themselves in those positions”. He further explains that “we are learning new things academically and socially while in college” and encourages that you “shouldn’t let your education get in the way of your learning”. He is also the treasurer of Maker’s club.
