University of Michigan Residential College The Residential College (RC) is a four-year liberal arts program uniting the virtues of a small college with the resources of a large research university.

Combining the vibrant intellectual atmosphere of a small college with the resources of a large research university, the Residential College (RC) is a four-year interdisciplinary liberal arts program within the College of Literature, Science and Arts. Founded in 1967 by the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science and the Arts (LSA), It was designed to be experimental – not only in cur

riculum, but in different kinds of pedagogy, different approaches to grading and assessment, and distinctive residential arrangements that combine living with learning. Nearly fifty years later, long after similar initiatives elsewhere have failed, the RC remains a vibrant academic community on the University of Michigan campus.

“Stamping and Stomping: Community Inspired Relief Prints” is part of Paloma Núñez-Regueiro’s work in exploring the vicissitudes of minorities in order to create a better understanding of their issues. Much of her work is rooted in her own experience living abroad as a student in the 90s.
