Welcome to the second week of Winter A classes, the second month of a new year, and the start of Black History Month! There's a lot happening at Ross this month, including Wellness and Diversity Weeks!

To kick off a packed month, we're featuring Erik Zorn, OFB's Director of Finance. Erik is a first-year MBA candidate at Michigan Ross. He grew up in Roanoke, VA, and attended Northwestern University, where he studied biology and was elected student body vice president. He then moved to New York City, first as an AmeriCorps VISTA service member at Columbia University, focusing on STEM K-12 education, and then later as a business development specialist at an international corporate law firm.

After Ross, he plans to pursue a career in management consulting. Outside of the classroom, Erik can be found in the kitchen making baked goods or running in Ann Arbor to burn off said baked goods.

We're celebrating the end of classes this week by spotlighting Thomas Krouse, OFB's Director of Events!

Thomas is a first-year MBA and Master of Health Informatics student originally from New Orleans. He is excited to learn health strategy and innovation at Ross in hopes of improving health outcomes and decreasing costs.

“Due to my own experiences navigating a complex, fragmented healthcare system, I'm passionate about achieving the Quadruple Aim of Health.”

Prior to Ross, he twice served in AmeriCorps, worked as a paralegal in medical malpractice defense, and served as an operations specialist at a federal trial court. During this period, he co-founded Louisiana’s first gay and inclusive rugby team, the Crescent City Rougaroux. This past summer, Thomas interned at the New Orleans BioInnovation Center, a health and life sciences accelerator. This year, Thomas plans to recruit for healthcare.

When he is not reading healthcare journal articles and case studies, you can find him running and cycling through the astonishing parks of Ann Arbor.
