Happy WoGW! Who’s excited that this semester is almost over?! 🙋♂️ 🙋♀️ Today’s verse of thought is Isaiah 61:3 —
“To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
In this week’s webinar, we are going to be talking about “All Things New,” and what a fitting topic as we head into spring! A time of new beginnings! I don’t know about you, but I am so thankful for a Savior who came down in flesh just to die for us...why? So that we COULD have new beginnings! He paid THE ultimate sacrifice so that we didn’t have to, and so that we could have that new beginning in Christ. Death, the grave, sin, shame, anxiety, whatever you can think of — it no longer has or can have a hold on us! We are set free by the blood of the Lamb, and in our freedom, we have a newness!
Hear me when I say, it is NEVER too late to start your new beginning. It’s never too late for you to ask God for help, to ask for forgiveness, or to change your ways. He is ready and willing to help you, BUT, you must first be ready and willing to change. You, yourself have to want that newness inside you, that newness that only He can give! God is a gentleman, and will never force you, that is why it is YOU who has to decide it is time to change...it’s time to get that newness!
