We have wrapped up Giving Blue Day 2025, and I'm thrilled to share that we raised $9,000 in funds before any matching and challenge contributions! These funds will support Volunteer Abroad, student society events, and more. None of this would have been possible without the incredible generosity of our alumni, students, parents, and friends. Today is the day! Giving Blue Day 2025 is in full swing, and we couldn't be more excited!

For the next 24 hours, your contributions will help fuel the impactful work we do at Engineering Global Leadership (EGL). From community-building events and professional development to volunteer abroad trips—your generosity makes it all possible!

Remember, here's how you can maximize your impact today:
1. Donate between 8:00–10:00 AM EDT to help EGL compete in the "Most Donors" challenge. If we place in the top 3 student orgs, we earn a bonus $1,000! If you miss the morning window, you have two more chances: 1:00–2:00 PM EDT and 9:00–10:00 PM EDT. During these times, the top 2 funds will win an additional $1,000.
2. First-time donors will have their gifts matched up to $50 by the University of Michigan, instantly doubling their impact.
3. We are looking to win the most donors to an advocate so we ask that you split your contribution between different credit cards if you are willing to help boost those numbers!

This upcoming Wednesday (March 19th) is Giving Blue Day, EGL’s annual 24-hour fundraising event. As you know, EGL never has and never will charge dues, and Giving Blue Day is crucial in funding
- Community-building events like GBM and Global Bonanza
- Professional development opportunities like TiL and Chicago Trip
- Volunteer Abroad trips
- And more—continuing the traditions you helped build!

How to Maximize Your Contribution:
1. Donate between 8:00–10:00 AM EDT: Help EGL compete in the "Most Donors" challenge—top 3 student orgs receive an extra $1,000!

2. First-time donors (you, your partner, friends) have their gifts matched up to $50 by the University of Michigan—doubling your impact instantly!

3. Can't make the morning window? Donate between 5:00–7:00 PM EDT or 9:00–10:00 PM EDT for more chances to win an additional $1,000 (top 2 student orgs).

GivingBlue Day is 2 days away! Today we are highlighting Global Bonanza, an EGL event that brings together cultural organizations, offering them a stage to showcase their clubs, present captivating cultural shows, and tantalize taste buds with a delightful array of international cuisines. Global Bonanza is an immersive experience that fosters cross-cultural education. Donations will contribute to the preservation of this event, enabling EGLS to continue to showcase cultural diversity at the University of Michigan.
