There’s something really special about watching children prepare to welcome the people they love.

This week, our third-year students have been carefully arranging flowers, practicing how to greet guests, and learning the thoughtful details that make hosting others feel meaningful. From offering a handshake to helping someone find their seat, every moment is filled with pride, purpose, and just a little excitement for the big day ahead.

Here’s a small sneak peek as they get ready for this year’s Third-Year Parent Tea.

From time on the Chesapeake Bay to hands-on learning outdoors, it’s the kind of experience that sticks. Here’s a look at some of their time away.

Recently, our Elementary students took the stage after months of preparation—learning songs, choreography, and even the ukulele.

At the dress rehearsal, some of our Primary students filled the audience, cheering on familiar faces and getting a glimpse of what’s ahead.

By performance time, the room was full of proud smiles and phones capturing the moment. The Ripple Effect was a celebration of confidence, teamwork, and growth.

Happy Earth Day!

Caring for the environment is something our students experience every day. It might look like planting seeds and watching them grow, talking through the impact of water pollution, cleaning the streams on weekly hikes, or our third-fifth year students' trip to the Echo Hill Outdoor School.

These moments add up. Over time, students begin to understand their role in caring for the world around them—and why it matters.
