This week’s Talk About It Tuesday is taking us way back ✨
In April 1972, members of the Association of African Americans (AAA) at Lawrence University occupied the administration building in protest of racial injustice on campus.
They demanded:
• Increased Black student recruitment
• More diverse faculty representation
• Meaningful curriculum changes
Because of their actions, Black student enrollment rose significantly in the years that followed.
Their courage didn’t just challenge the moment, it reshaped Lawrence University forever. 🖤
We honor their legacy and the foundation they built for us today.🤎
