L.I.D.E.R. Club is a great place to meet new friends, network with other like-minded students, and learn more about Hispanic culture.

Meetings are held once each month on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 4PM at CAC's Signal Peak Campus (8470 N. Overfield Rd., Coolidge, AZ).

Central Arizona College now offers live-streaming Structured Literacy Courses that meet the training requirement for the K-5 Literacy Endorsement with the Arizona Department of Education.

- EDU320A Structured Literacy A: Science of Reading and Phonics (8 Week Class, Tuesdays from 4:30-5:45pm)
- EDU320B Structured Literacy B: Investigating Instruction, Assessment, Intervention, and Dyslexia (8 Week Class, Tuesdays from 6:00-7:15pm)

Both classes run 8 weeks, starting October 12 to December 5, 2026.

A certificate of training is provided with the successful completion of each course. After taking both courses, students are encouraged to register for the Foundations of Reading Assessment. The Arizona
State Board of Education has approved the training syllabus and documentation for Central Arizona College courses EDU320A and EDU320B as outlined by SB1572 and approved guidelines from the Arizona Department of Education.

Turn your knowledge into real-world skill with hands-on drone pilot training.

Central Arizona College's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Pilot Certificate is a practical, experience based certificate focused on safety for small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). This program teaches aspiring remote pilots core unmanned aviation safety principles and site-specific risk management so students can plan and conduct safe, compliant UAS operations across industry applications.

Skills & Competencies
Hands on training that builds operational proficiency and decision-making for real world missions.

Pilots who complete this Certificate will be able to:
- Apply unmanned aviation safety concepts to live operations
- Conduct comprehensive preflight risk assessments and use checklists
- Record and track remote pilot qualifications and maintenance requirements
- Create site-specific safety analyses for new locations
- Identify and configure appropriate datalinks and remote sensing approaches for industry clusters
- Manipulate and utilize aircraft safety features during operations
- Perform initial qualification maneuvers to practical testing standards and demonstrate required psychomotor skills
- Exhibit professional safety attitudes and aeronautical decision-making
- Operate in GPS-denied environments and respond to simulated emergencies using safety systems

LOCATION:
The Unmanned Aircraft Systems Pilot Certificate program is offered exclusively at Central Arizona College's Maricopa Campus located at 17945 North Regent Drive, Maricopa, AZ 85138.

PREREQUISITES:
Students MUST complete the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Fundamentals Certificate prior to enrolling in the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Pilot Certificate program.
