Ohio State University researchers, in partnership with the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service, are conducting a statewide effort to revisit and re-sample historic National Cooperative Soil Survey soil characterization sites across Ohio. Most are privately owned. Please help if you're able!

We also want to recognize a few individuals who have been an important part of the NSCC Agriculture program this year: Dalton Haver, Brady Zeedyk, and Aaron Miller. While their paths look different, each of them invested time in developing technical skills, contributing to class discussions, and building the hands-on knowledge that supports our local agricultural community. We wish them success as they continue their work in agriculture!

🧑‍🎓Finally, we are celebrating Jason DeWyse, who is graduating with an Agribusiness degree and has the great honor of being selected as tomorrow’s commencement student speaker. We’re excited to hear Jason’s version of his story and journey at NSCC. He volunteered for every experience possible, served as President of Ag Grows Here, and is active in both TRIO and Cru. This summer he's working as an applicator for Gerald Grain Center Inc. and in the Fall, he'll continue his education at Wright State University Lake Campus Agriculture Program. We know you’ll achieve whatever you set your mind to, Jason. Thank you for representing the ag program so well. Continue to make us proud! 👏

👩‍🎓Taylor Johnson is graduating with her Agronomy degree after only one full-time year at NSCC! She’s another learner who took many CCP classes in high school and just finished serving as an Ohio FFA State Officer. She had many duties this past year and worked hard to balance them with her courses. Taylor is transferring her Agronomy degree to Iowa State University in the Fall. We wish her all the best as she pursues a four-year degree in Agronomy. She makes the Evergreen FFA community and us very proud 🤩
