The co-directors and STEM fellows at the STEM Center offer relevant, high-quality, and standards-based professional development sessions. The Center contains multiple types of resources for teachers of STEM in order to elevate instructional quality and STEM education of our students.

Countdown has started for launch.

The launch control team recently arrived at their stations and the official countdown for the launch of the Artemis II mission began at 4:44 p.m. EDT (2044 UTC). Teams will begin methodically going through the launch countdown checklist to prepare for the liftoff of the crewed lunar mission β€” currently scheduled for no earlier than 6:24 p.m. EDT (2224 UTC) on Wednesday, April 1.

Join us πŸ”΄LIVEπŸ”΄ on Wednesday, April 1st, from 1:24 p.m. EDT / 17:24 UTC, as NASA launches the first crewed Moon mission in more than 53 years, Artemis II! The link to the livestream is in the comments below. πŸ‘‡

For the first time since 1972, humans will launch on a mission beyond Earth orbit, towards - and around - the Moon! Liftoff of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the Orion spacecraft from Launch Complex 39B at NASA's Kennedy Space Center is scheduled during a 120-minute launch window, opening at 6:24 p.m. EDT / 22:24 UTC.

The ten-day mission will not only see America's return to crewed Moon missions, but also the first woman astronaut and the first non-U.S. citizen travel beyond Earth orbit. Crew members will include NASA astronauts, Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialist Christina Koch, as well as Canadian Space Agency astronaut and Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen.

Excitement is guaranteed for this most important crewed mission in decades, so stay tuned to the NASASpaceflight.com socials for updates throughout the day.

A special thank you to all of the volunteers who came out today to help judge projects as well as set up and assist with the success of the fair and those who have worked many hours in the last several months organizing such a great experience for all of these students!
