The HPER Department offers Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees. The undergraduate program offers three major areas of study; Physical Education, Recreation and Health and Human Performance. Through these three majors, students will prepare for these careers and advance study in Health and Physical Education, Natural Resource Management, Leisure Services Management, Sport Management and Health and H

uman Performance. The HPER Graduate Program offers The Masters of Science in Sports Administration, which is a one or two year program of study. Students who successfully complete the program will be able to use the degree for advancement and promotion in their school athletics, parks, and recreation professions/ sport organizations. The degree will also provide those students a solid background if they choose to continue their graduate or in pursuit of doctoral degrees. Faculty

We have a very broad faculty who have coached and taught at various levels. Our facilities are state-of-the-art and we are continuing to improve as technology advances without skipping the basics.

Dr. Lewis Kanyiba introduced to his HPE 2732 Methods of Rhythmetic Games and Playground Activities class, 'Netball'. The physical education majors and education majors enjoyed learning to teach and playing this game immensely!! Another game/activity to introduce to physical education classes K-12! Remember PE classes should have diverse activities/games for students to stay active and engaged.
