This month is Child Abuse Awareness Month. We are raising awareness and learning to recognize signs that a child may be experiencing this so that we can do what we can to help. Looking forward to a day when wearing blue for this cause is no longer needed.

We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to our amazing partner, CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs, for their generous donation of a Zoll Series Defibrillator to our Henderson State University Nursing Department. This incredible contribution will significantly enhance student learning outcomes and clinical skill development as they continue to advance in their nursing education.

🌟 Recruiting at Black River Technical College Career Fair – Pocahontas, AR! 🌟

Yesterday, I had an incredible opportunity to connect with future healthcare professionals at Black River Technical College’s Career Fair in Pocahontas, AR. 💉👩🏽‍⚕️👨🏽‍⚕️

Bridging gaps and advancing nursing degrees — that’s what it’s all about! I also had the pleasure of meeting some bright and motivated high school students from Pocahontas and Walnut Ridge High Schools who are already showing great interest in pursuing careers in nursing and radiology.

At Henderson State University, we’re committed to helping students take the next step in their nursing journey through our RN to BSN and MSN online programs. The future of nursing is bright, and it starts right here in Arkansas! ❤️💪🏽

🌿 Health & Wellness in Action! 🌿

Henderson State University Nursing partnered with Hostess to host a Health Fair, promoting health and wellness for all! 💉💗

Our students provided valuable education and screenings aimed at increasing awareness about cervical and breast cancer, smoking cessation, diabetes, and hypertension. Events like these allow our future nurses to connect with the employees and advocate for healthier lifestyles through education and prevention.

We are proud of our HSU nursing students for their dedication to improving health and continuing Henderson’s mission as The School with a Heart! ❤️🩺

🌟 Advancing Nursing Education in East Arkansas 🌟

It was a privilege to meet with the nursing students at East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City, Arkansas, to discuss educational opportunities at Henderson State University. During the session, we explored how HSU's Nursing programs can help bridge the gap in healthcare education, empowering students to achieve their academic and professional goals.

At Henderson State, we are committed to fostering academic excellence, advancing healthcare education, and supporting the next generation of nursing professionals. Together, we can create a brighter future for healthcare in our communities.

🌟 Out in the Community Representing HSU Nursing! 🌟

Had an amazing time connecting with staff and faculty at Gurdon and Arkadelphia Public Schools! 💙 It’s always great to be out in the community, sharing the spirit of HSU Nursing and the impact we have on healthcare. 🏥

Also had the opportunity to network with incredible faculty, strengthening our connections and continuing to build a strong presence in the community.

A huge shout-out to the Gurdon Go-Devils and Arkadelphia Badgers for their school pride and energy! Let’s keep pushing forward with the same passion and commitment that our programs instill in us.

• Didn’t get lost (too many times) 🚪
• Didn’t faint during peri-care 🫣
• Smiled through the nerves 😅
• Learned so much already 📚

Here’s to making it through the first clinical and proving to ourselves that we CAN do this. Two shifts down, a lifetime of nursing ahead! 💪
