Ouachita students can now earn up to 27 hours of credit toward seminary degrees through Christian studies courses. Read more 👇

Ouachita has signed agreements with New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Samford University’s Beeson Divinity School that will allow students in the Pruet School of Christian Studies to earn credits toward a Master of Divinity degree while taking undergraduate courses.

Joe Nix died peacefully at home on August 25, 2026. He was born in Malvern, Arkansas, the only child of Frank and Era Nix. The Nix family moved to Arkadelphia when Joe was in the seventh grade. After graduating from Arkadelphia High School, Joe attended Ouachita College, later Ouachita Baptist
