Introducing our final guest panelist, Ursulo Castillo III!
Ursulo Castillo III is a highly skilled audio engineering specialist with over 15 years of experience in live
events, sports broadcasting, and corporate engagements. Renowned for his problem-solving abilities, he excels in handling complex audio challenges and delivering pristine sound. Ursulo is proficient with advanced audio systems like Digico, Yamaha, Audinate, BSS, Q-SYS, D&B Audiotechnik, and L-Acoustics.
Currently, Ursulo serves as an Audio Specialist at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) in the
Arlington Independent School District (AISD), overseeing audio production for live events and performances. He collaborates with technical teams to ensure top-tier sound for diverse shows. Since 2011, Ursulo has been the Senior Audio Engineer at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), managing audio for major events at Texas Hall and College Park Center. His leadership has been essential for producing high-quality sound at events like the Maverick Speaker Series and NCAA sporting events. A key highlight of Ursulo’s career was his role as Lead Audio Engineer at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas from 2012 to 2019. He engineered world-class performances and contributed to an Emmy-winning production for the Academy of Arts and Letters’ MLK Civil Rights show. Ursulo also served as A1 Lead Audio Engineer at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, managing sound for major events like the NCAA Gymnastics Championships and Olympic Trials. His work exemplifies his dedication to innovation and excellence in audio engineering, always striving for high quality sound in every performance or broadcast he
oversees.
