It's no secret that Theta Omega has a long and storied history with the University of Texas at Arlington, spanning multiple generations from 1967 to today. This generation of Theta Omega is continuing that legacy of greatness by ensuring that Kappa Sigma remains the No. 1 fraternity on campus.
IT'S ALWAYS RECRUITMENT SEASON
Hot off of the heels of one of its most successful recruitment seasons, Theta Omega is heading into Fall Rush stronger than ever before. Last fall, the undergraduate chapter initiated 27 new members as part of Upsilon class, becoming the largest Greek organization on campus and topping all of the Interfraternity Council, the College Panhellenic Council, and the Multicultural Greek Council. These young men continued to keep up the pace in the spring as well, initiating four new brothers as part of Phi class.
With a total number of 55 active members, Theta Omega is more motivated than ever to maintain its position at the top of UT Arlington's Greek community. Rush Week kicks off on Sept. 6, and with a whole lineup of brotherhood activities planned, the undergraduate chapter can't wait to meet all of the new faces they may soon get to call brothers.
BROTHERS IN ACTION
It isn't all just new business with this undergraduate class — they make sure to make time for each other and build a lasting sense of brotherhood when school isn't in session.
Over the summer, a group of brothers got to experience a thrilling racing event right here at Texas Live! sponsored by Red Bull. Another group got to enjoy a camping trip at New Braunfels as well and go fishing and river floating. In fact, just this week, the chapter held a community barbecue on campus where students got to meet and eat with the undergraduate class and learn what makes Kappa Sigma the best fraternity on campus and in the world.
NEW HOUSE COMING SOON
Theta Omega has a lot more to be excited about in the fall than usual. In addition to new members and a new recruitment season, this year's undergraduate chapter also has a new house to look forward to.
Previously serving as the Phi Delta Theta house on campus, the two-story house located at 707 S. Davis Dr. is bigger than Kappa Sigma's previous house and has more room for additional tenants and amenities. Not only does the house have eight bedrooms and an outdoor volleyball and basketball court, BUT it also has an expansive trophy room, kitchen, library, and great room available to all of its house members as well.
Currently undergoing some renovations, the house will not be move-in ready until the fall. But once it is, it will be a focal point for Greek Row and big attention-grabber for potential new members. It will be all too easy for new recruits to imagine themselves as Kappa Sigmas the minute they step inside this newly refurbished house.
STAY IN TOUCH!
This is all just a taste of the many exciting things Theta Omega has planned for in the fall.
