We are so proud of Steven Goff, Asheville–Buncombe Technical Community College
alumni and owner and executive chef of the Tastee Diner. Take a look at his appearance on CBS Sunday morning and how he is giving back to the Asheville community.

As part of a new series on "CBS Mornings", the team surprised Lead National Correspondent David Begnaud with a plane ticket at the airport and challenged him to find a special story within just 48 hours of arriving in the surprise destination. This time, he was sent to Asheville, North Carolina.

Exciting news about an A-B Tech alumni!

Chef Ed Selle, the newly appointed executive chef of fine dining hot spot Canyon Kitchen at Lonesome Valley in Cashiers, has made a name for himself among the prestigious clubs of Western North Carolina. But it all started in his grandmother’s kitchen, where a young Selle would learn regional staples: cornmeal-fried squash or butter beans and rice, alongside servings of chicken or pork. At link below, read more about the beginnings of Selle’s career while a student at the culinary school at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, A-B Tech and his approach to local food.
