April 7, 1929 – St. Benedict’s defeats the Topeka Western League team 2-1. Gorges drives in both runs with an eighth-inning double.
April 7, 1983 – Chris Klyczek drives in two runs to help BC grab a six-run lead on its way to a 6-5 win over Missouri Western.
April 7, 1990 – Sherri Williams throws a two-hitter in Benedictine’s 13-3 win over Bethany. The Ravens win the opener 7-3 with Wendy Pobirk driving in three with a triple.
April 7, 1995 – Benedictine’s Thad Lincoln throws a four-hitter in a 12-2 win over MidAmerica Nazarene. The Ravens sweep with an 11-1 win to improve to 19-4.
April 7, 2005 – Benedictine remains No. 10 in the NAIA baseball poll with a 28-8 record.

April 4, 1985 – Jim Hovorka and Tom Thorpe combine to shut out Emporia State 6-0 in Emporia. Chris Klyczek goes 4 for 5 and scores three runs.
April 4, 1987 – Ruben Islas throws a three-hitter in a 5-2 win over Baker to sweep a doubleheader. Mark Leonard homers and hits three doubles in an 18-8 win.
April 4, 2024 – BC enters the NAIA softball rankings for the first time at No. 22. The Ravens are 26-6 and tied with Vanguard (Calif.) with 152 points in the top 25 coaches poll.

April 3, 1965 – St. Benedict’s announces the hiring of Tom Colwell as assistant basketball coach. Colwell replaces Bill Samuels. Colwell, a 1958 St. Benedict’s graduate, returns to the school after working as assistant at Southwestern Louisiana.
April 3, 1965 – St. Benedict’s freshman Darryl Jones is named third-team NAIA All-American. Pat Hare earns honorable mention.
April 3, 2019 – No. 2 BC sets a single-game scoring record with a 27-0 win over Midland. Taryn St. Louis and Teresa Petruccelli combine for the shutout and the Ravens improve to 11-0.

April 2, 1955 – Paul Messbarger passes for a touchdown and runs for a touchdown to lead Black over White 14-6 in a spring football scrimmage.
April 2, 1985 – Tom Jensen hits two home runs and the Ravens total 26 hits in a 20-3 win over Missouri Western in Atchison. Jensen’s 18th and 19th home runs set the program’s career record. Sam Verslues also homers for BC.
April 2, 1991 – Benedictine softball sweeps Baker 4-0, 9-1. Terri Sontheiwer drives in two runs in the opener.
April 2, 1995 – The Ravens split with Rockhurst by winning the nightcap 7-6. Mike Ruiz homers for BC, which scores four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to win. Rockhurst wins the opener 14-3.

April 1, 1967 – Students from St. Benedict’s and Mount St. Scholastica celebrate the NAIA champions at the senior class dance. Cheerleaders lead the crowd in the school fight song. The last five minutes of the win over Oklahoma Baptist are played for all to watch.
April 1, 1984 – Doug Jones earns the wins against Baker in both games of a doubleheader as a reliever. The Ravens win the first game 9-5 after a five-run rally in the sixth inning. BC wins the nightcap 5-4 with Jones holding Baker scoreless for the final three innings.
April 1, 1994 – Jennie Beckman and Cecilia Ramos are selected to the West squad in the NAIA Senior Bowl soccer game in Birmingham, Ala.
April 1, 1996 – Basketball players Nate Cairney, Angie Metzger and Amy Bahr earn NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete honors.
April 1, 1997 – Benedictine pitcher Brian Scarcello earns Heart of America Conference pitcher of the week honors after going 2-0 and compiling a 1.93 ERA in 14 innings.
April 1, 2015 – Benedictine softball records a sweep of Baker, 1-0 and 10-2. Katie Ricklefs holds the Wildcats to two hits in the opener.
April 1, 2019 – Benedictine basketball coach Ryan Moody is named NAIA Coach of the Year by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Moody coached the Ravens to a 31-4 record and the Sweet 16 of the NAIA Tournament. BC won the Heart of America Conference with a 24-0 record, part of a school-record 29-game win streak.

March 31, 1974 – Dan Massalone homers twice in a 12-5 win at Baker. BC sweeps the doubleheader with a 3-2 win.
March 31, 1983 – Bo Dumovich strikes out 11 in BC’s 5-1 win over MidAmerica Nazarene. The Ravens win the second game 10-2 with Jay Ohmes hitting a two-run home run.
March 31, 1988 – Curt Marchand homers in both ends of a doubleheader, helping the Ravens sweep Ottawa 4-1, 10-0.
