Congratulations to our own Dr. Davoren who was recognised for the Sousa-ABA-Ostwald Award 2025 at the American Bandmasters Association Convention this week in Chicago. A performance of his Concerto for Euphonium was given by the incredible Hiram Diaz of ‘The President’s Own’ United States Marine Band and Wheaton Municipal Band as part of the convention, something which Dr. Davoren was able to share with his own professor, Dr. Paul Popiel of the University of Kansas.
