We might not have seen the total lunar eclipse in Atchison this past Sunday, but several hours later when the moon rose for our side of the world, we happened to be doing some calibration work at Daglen Observatory, and decided to take some test shots of the Moon with our 12 inch Ritchey-Chretien telescope. These were 0.2 second exposures through the hydrogen alpha filter. We were amazed at the level of detail that the H-alpha filter brought out!
