Meet Elizabeth Babalola! Elizabeth, a PhD candidate from Nigeria, West Africa, is currently under the mentorship of Dr. Luke Naeher. Her research focuses on air pollution and aims to mitigate its impact on human health and the environment. Specifically, Elizabeth plans to investigate occupational health hazards, with a particular emphasis on wildland firefighters. Her ultimate objective is to develop strategies to reduce smoke exposure during their duties, ultimately lowering the occurrence of respiratory illnesses within this population of people. We are very excited to have had Elizabeth join us this year and we wish you luck in your journey here at UGA!
