Lindsay Weinmann joined the University of Georgia School of Law’s Dean Rusk International Law Center as Administrative Specialist in May 2026.

In this role, she assists with the Center’s daily operations, coordinates Center events, supervises the Center’s student workers, and serves as a faculty assistant to the Center’s Faculty Co-Directors, Christopher Bruner and Desirée LeClercq.

Weinmann graduated summa cm laude from the University of Georgia in 2025 with a double major in international affairs and Asian languages and literature, along with a minor in general business. Her academic focus included international security and Korean studies. As a fellow in the 2024–25 Richard B. Russell Security Leadership Program at the UGA Center for International Trade and Security, she conducted research on the security dilemma posed by rogue states, using North Korea as a case study to examine implications for foreign policy.

University of Georgia School of Law Professor Emerita Diane Marie Amann recently gave evidence in the United Kingdom Parliament, part of the third oral hearing of the Standing Group on Atrocity Crimes. Convened with the All-Party Parliamentary Group on International Law, Justice and Accountability, the Standing Group is designed

“to create a unified, effective, and enforceable atrocity prediction, prevention and response strategy within the UK Government, aligned with existing international legal obligations. We aim to establish mechanisms for addressing atrocity crimes including the crime of aggression, genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity through legislative reform and policy change.”

Now the Regents’ Professor Emerita and Emily & Ernest Woodruff Chair in International Law Emerita at Georgia Law, Amann served for many years as a Faculty Co-Director of our Dean Rusk International Law Center. She is currently is Visiting Professor at The London School of Economics and Political Science - LSE Law School and serves on the Board of Editors of the American Journal of International Law.

University of Georgia School of Law student Zoë Bussewitz (J.D. ’28) was selected by the American Branch of the International Law Association (“ABILA”) to be a 2026 Student Ambassador. She is one of eight Ambassadors selected nationwide to assist with the work of the organization, especially in the preparation of the International Law Weekend 2026 conference, entitled: [R]evolution in the International Legal Order.

Are you curious about what it’s like to work internationally as a University of Georgia School of Law student? Tune into our Center’s Instagram account () this Wednesday, June 10 for a stories takeover by rising 3L Olivia Buckner.

Olivia is currently a legal extern with Atlas Services Belgium (Orange) in Brussels, Belgium. In this position, she assists Orange's team of lawyers with projects in M&A, corporate finance, project finance, corporate restructuring, tax planning, and treasury management. Oliva's externship is supervised by Georgia Law alumnus Johan Van den Cruijce (LL.M. '94).

Orange is one of many Global Externships Overseas (GEO) placements available to Georgia Law students seeking to gain practical knowledge and experience in an international setting, both for summer and semester-long externships.
