Participate in Psychosis Intervention Research at
The University of Georgia
What is the purpose of the research?
We are recruiting individuals who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder to participate in an intervention study. We are evaluating whether a cell phone app is helpful for improving the ability to manage emotions and symptoms.
Who can participate?
Men and women diagnosed with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder who are 18-60 years old
What will participants be asked to do?
Participants will be asked to:
1. Be interviewed regarding diagnosis and symptoms at the start and end of study
2. Complete MRI scans while viewing emotional pictures and doing a memory test
3. Use the cellphone app that provides emotion training for 14 days
Where is the study taking place? The Clinical Affective Neuroscience Lab is located in the Psychology building on the University of Georgia campus.
How much does it cost? There is no cost for participation
Will I receive payment of some kind?
All study volunteers will receive up to $460 for their participation
