Community Research on Self-Sufficiency - CROSS Community Research on Self-Sufficiency (CROSS) Dr. Philip Hong heads this program serving as the director.

Center for Research on Self-Sufficiency (CROSS) is an evidence-informed research and practice Center in the School of Social Work at Loyola University Chicago. CROSS investigates various dimensions of poverty and inequality in the 'glocal', both global and local, context and provides policy and programmatic consultations for practical use by government and local community-based agencies. Supported

by federal funding, the program is currently examining an empowerment pathway to economic success among low-income individuals and families.

Loyola University Chicago was one the three grantees of the Health Profession Opportunity Grants - HPOG University Partnership (HPOG UP) 2.0 Research grants [2016-2020(2021)].
