Hello! The time has come to encourage first-year females to apply for the Margaret Boyd Scholars Program. Check out this video, made with the help of a few of our scholars!

If you’re unfamiliar with the program, the Margaret Boyd Scholars Program is a leadership program for young women, with the goal of making more women into confident and successful leaders. Female-identifying first-years can apply, and start benefitting from the program fully during the spring of their first-year.

Starting with the traditional retreat, the women get to know each other and the aims of the program more before taking a class together during the spring semester and the second-year living experience. Our scholars get the privilege of attending events, meeting guest speakers, participating in book clubs, giving and receiving mentorship, and so much more during their time in the program, which will continue until they graduate.

If you are a first-year, female Bobcat, you can click the link below to apply:
https://www.ohio.edu/student-affairs/boyd-scholars/apply-now

The link to apply is in the bio of our Instagram too! (margaretboydscholars)

Applications are due October 15th.

Be safe, Bobcats!

More awesome work happening this summer by our Maggie B's! Luvina Cooley has been working virtually with the LGBT Center, both working at programs during the summer and planning for fall events. "I've also been running the social media pages. It's been really great to get to continue the awesome work the center does even though it's virtual and we're excited to begin doing more in-person events this semester."

More WOW from our Maggie B's. Nya Thwaites-Brevik has been working at a local shop in Yellow Springs while interning for a local attorney/Village Council Member. She is the CFO of a small business and helps to run a website selling imported items and clothes from Ghana. On the weekends, she's running anti-racism rallies and marches to connect with and educate the community on ways they can be actively anti-racist in their everyday lives.
