Georgia College Advising Corps

Georgia College Advising Corps Advisers working to increase the number of underrepresented, low income and first generation high school students who enter and complete higher education.

GCAC provides support to high school students and their parents
who require assistance with navigating the college admissions process
by placing well-trained, recent college graduates as full-time college advisers
in selected Georgia high schools to assist overworked guidance counselors by:

• ensuring that students find institutions suitable for their individual academic profiles, career goal

s and personal circumstances
• assisting students with testing, scholarship and admission applications, financial aid, and other matriculation processes and
• fostering a college-going culture in the schools through innovative and motivational interventions.

Erica Brown graduated from with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Religious Studies and Social Change from Wesleyan College. Erica also attained a Master’s of Arts in Theological Studies from The Candler School of Theology. Erica will be serving a Drew Charter School!

Adam Jolliff graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia. Adam will be serving at Midtown High School!
