Two members of the Beef Cattle show team, (Bailey and Avery)delivered a cattle grooming demonstration at the TVCC Ranch during the employees' picnic, where TVCC employees and their family members were in attendance. It was a great day with family, friends, and colleagues to enjoy each other and the catered barbecue, games, pictures with Richmond , and hay rides to tour the ranch.

The TVCC Beef Cattle Show Team was honored tonight along with many other winning TVCC teams at the annual TVCC Athletic Banquet.

There were three team awards given. These awards were voted on by the show team members. They are as follows:
Best showmanship of the year award - Kaelee Starnes
Most improved of the year award - Bailey Caballero
Best overall fitter of the year award - Blayze Saltzman

The event was held at the Athens’s Fiirst Methodist Church and their members hosted and catered it with a wonderful barbecue brisket meal.

The TVCC Beef Cattle Show Team split up into two groups and helped at both the breeding heifer show this afternoon and the market steer show this evening during the annual Henderson County Youth Livestock Show held at the Fairpark Complex in Athens, Texas.  We appreciate all of them for their very good help!

The TVCC Beef Cattle Show Team won a lot of awards this year showing the TVCC Charolais Cattle at five shows during the 2025-2026 show season. The Awards on the bulletin board behind them are what they achieved this past show season only and at the following shows: the Four States Fair, the Tulsa State Fair, the Fort Worth Stock Show, the Dixie National Livestock Show, and the Houston Livestock Show.  We appreciate their efforts and success!

2026 Houston Livestock Show

The TVCC Beef Cattle Show Team won several awards at the 2026 Houston Livestock Show this year closing out a very successful show season for our team. The team was involved in the Open Charolais Cattle division of the show on March 3, 2026. The judge was Victor G. Guerra, who is a fifth generation rancher from Linn, Texas, where along with his parents and siblings they own and operate La Muneca Cattle Company, a Brahman and Simbrah seedstock operation. He attained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agriculture Development with an emphasis in Beef Cattle Production from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

Victor also attained a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas and owns Victor G. Guerra, PC. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the American Simmental Association, Vice Chairman for the Texas FFA Foundation Board of Directors, and serves on the Hidalgo County Farm Bureau Board of Directors as well.

Along with his family, they work extensively with the youth throughout the year including serving on various scholarship committees. He is a product of the 4-H, FFA, and Simbrah youth programs who he credits for playing a crucial role in his development.
