Delta Zeta- Epsilon Delta

Delta Zeta- Epsilon Delta Service to others enriches the world. The Delta Zeta Creed says, "To those whom my life may touch in slight measure, May I give graciously, Of what is mine."

On February 19, 1928 Delta Sigma Epsilon was founded here at Concord University and the sorority merged into Delta Zeta along with four other sororities on campus in 1956. Our national philanthropies, supported by both collegiate and alumnae chapters, are speech and hearing and The Painted Turtle camp. Through Delta Zeta's philanthropy of speech and hearing, our chapters support local and national

speech and hearing organizations, volunteering many hours and generously fundraising for this cause. The Painted Turtle's mission is to provide a year-round, life-changing environment and authentic camp experience for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses, and Delta Zeta members volunteer at the camp as well as raise money for this philanthropy. Delta Zeta knows the power of women to effect positive change, and has proven it from our earliest volunteer work during World War I to the efforts given today to foster speech and hearing programs and support The Painted Turtle. Delta Zeta members take change into their own hands by volunteering wherever they see a need. Founded on October 24, 1902 at Miami University in Oxford Ohio, Delta Zeta is one of the largest sororities, with more than 150 collegiate and 250 alumnae chapters worldwide. Delta Zeta unites its members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship, encourages the pursuit of knowledge, promotes, the moral and social culture of its members, and helps sisters develop plans for guidance and unity in action. On February 19, 1928 Delta Sigma Epsilon was founded here at Concord University. This sorority merged into Delta Zeta along with four other sororities on campus in 1956. Delta Zeta is one of the four National Sororities on campus and prides itself on being the current academic sorority of the year. Whether you are a potential member, new to campus, or an alumnae who would like to recommend a woman to a chapter, Delta Zeta welcomes you to learn more about the recruitment process. Since our founding in 1902 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, more than 225,000 women have been initiated into our sisterhood. Delta Zeta Creed:

To the world,
I promise temperance and insight and courage,
To crusade for justice,
To seek the truth and defend it always;

To those whom my life may touch in slight measure,
May I give graciously
Of what is mine;

To my friends,
Understanding and appreciation;

To those closer ones,
Love that is ever steadfast;

To my mind,
Growth;

To myself,
Faith
That I may walk truly
In the light of the Flame.
