Good strategy starts with listening. 👂

Earlier this month, faculty member Jason Estep facilitated interactive discussions designed to give stakeholders an opportunity to share their perspectives and provide meaningful input for planning and decision-making.

This work included eight community listening sessions held in various locations across Greene County, helping the Archway Partnership identify local priorities and opportunities as it begins working with its newest county partner.

✨ We’re proud to create spaces where every voice can help shape what comes next!

🎓 The 2026 Management & Leadership Development Program (MLDP) cohort has officially graduated!

MLDP brings together professionals from Georgia's Electric Membership Corporations (EMCs), Oglethorpe Power Corp., Georgia Transmission Corp., and Georgia System Operations Corp. These individuals come together to strengthen leadership and management capabilities, build connections across the industry, and develop skills that can be applied within their respective organizations and communities.

Throughout the program, participants stepped outside their comfort zones, strengthened their leadership skills, learned alongside fellow Georgia EMC professionals, and challenged themselves to grow as leaders.

👏 Congratulations, graduates! We can’t wait to see where your leadership takes you next!

✨ We’re proud to share that the Emerging Engineers Leadership Development (EELD) Program received the Outstanding Program Award at the 2026 Association of Leadership Educators Conference!

Facilitated by Brandy Walker and Elizabeth Lutz, EELD equips University of Georgia engineering students with practical communication, collaboration, and team-building skills.

Since its inception in 2018, the program has reached more than 3,800 students across eight engineering degree programs. We’re honored to see EELD’s impact and commitment to leadership education celebrated.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who makes this program possible! 🎉

A group of University of Georgia undergrad students participated in a leadership “boot camp” through the new Disability Ambassador Leadership Initiative, a partnership between the Fanning Institute and UGA - Accessibility and Testing within the Division of Student Affairs.

Supported by a 2026 Ralston Institute Momentum Grant in Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, the boot camp prepared Disability Ambassadors to mentor middle school students with disabilities across Georgia’s public schools.

Through leadership development, connection, and shared experiences, the ambassadors gained skills and tools to help younger students envision life after high school, including a future in college.

We’re proud of the Disability Ambassadors and their commitment to helping the next generation of students see what’s possible!
