The Ohio University Department of Interdisciplinary Health Studies, in the College of Health Sciences and Professions, invites applications for an online adjunct instructor.

The Department of Interdisciplinary Health Ohio University Interdisciplinary Health Studies is seeking a student-centered, innovative adjunct faculty member with experience in interprofessional hands on healthcare delivery in a clinical setting, along with academic experience in instruction, and possibly course development, of interprofessional healthcare courses online. Topics areas of instruction include but are not exclusive to; interprofessional education in healthcare, cultural competency, identifying abuse in a healthcare setting, vulnerable populations in healthcare, and medical ethics. Due to departmental growth this faculty member must teach online and could be asked to teach up to 120 students, with facilitators, in a class. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in online instruction, such as Blackboard and Canvas, of both traditional and non-traditional students.

Welcome Dr. Adom Manu!

We are happy to welcome visiting Fulbright Scholar in Residence, Adom Manu, PhD, to the Global Health Initiative for the 2023-24 Academic Year. Dr. Manu is an expert in Public Health in the Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health at the University of Ghana. He was selected for the Fulbright award by the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Dr. Manu is one of more than forty-five Fulbright Scholars-in-Residence, and among 1,000 outstanding foreign faculty and professionals who will teach and pursue research in the United States for the 2023-2024 academic year through the worldwide Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program. Fall 2022 applications are now open for the following certificates: Graduate Healthcare Leadership, Graduate Veterans Health, Graduate Health Policy, and Graduate Clinical Informatics.

Also, the Fall 22-23 Master of Integrated Health Studies application is open until May 15.
