Here’s what she has to say about her experience in Alpha Phi!

Joining Alpha Phi at the beginning of this year was one of the best decisions I could have made coming to UGA. I’m so grateful for the friendships, support, and home away from home this chapter has given me. From bid day, the older girls have been so welcoming and always willing to answer my questions, and I’ve loved learning from the women in the HWA department. Their leadership and commitment inspired me to get involved as a freshman, and I’m so excited to continue growing within this chapter. Some of my favorite memories from freshman year have been the simple things, like Monday chapter dinners with my best friends. I can’t wait to get back to Athens and grow even closer with everyone while living in the house next year!!

Happy Monday!!! Today we are highlighting Lucy Gloria who just spent the semester abroad in Italy!!!

“Studying abroad in Cortona was truly the most special experience! I feel so lucky to have spent three months living in the most picturesque Tuscan town while learning about Italian art and culture. Along the way, I made such sweet friendships, explored so many incredible places, and created memories that I will cherish forever. My time abroad pushed me outside of my comfort zone and helped me grow in countless ways. Cortona will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I’m so grateful for every moment I spent there. But distance truly makes the heart grow fonder, and I can’t wait to return to Athens in the fall and reunite with all my sisters in Alpha Phi! 🩷🩷🩷”

“The women I met in Alpha Phi have been unwaveringly supportive of me since the day I stepped on the lawn. Early in college I was blessed with friends that would listen to every new song I wrote, would push me up on stage with every band we saw, and would play guitar with me on the Alpha Phi porch every night we lived there. Once I was in a band, I never doubted that at almost every show I could count on a sea of Alpha Phis buying tickets and cheering me on. UGA has blessed me with so many opportunities these past 4 years, but I never would’ve had the courage to take half of them without the support of this organization through and through.“

“Being an Alpha Phi at the University of Georgia has truly been one of the greatest joys of my college experience. It gave me my biggest blessing of lifelong friendships and surrounded me with people who made my four years so special. Alpha Phi played a significant role in shaping who I am today, especially through the opportunity to serve on our Executive Board as Panhellenic Delegate and later on the Panhellenic Executive Council as Vice President of Recruitment. These leadership roles taught me the value of connecting with others and serving a greater community. I am incredibly proud to be an Alpha Phi and will carry that with me always.”
