Your local UGA Alumni chapter team is going to see a big change this summer: Flan and Drew are expecting a little Dawg in July. I will be a first time grandpa. Obviously a newborn will affect their participation this fall.
So, as previously mentioned, UGA Alumni Albany is looking for volunteers to help with the 2026 season. Annual recognition is coming up in June. I am including the Alumni Association email content that contains links to sign up. These forms only make you eligible to be listed as an organization volunteer.

The Annual Recognition process for Alumni Chapters is now open. All Chapters will be required to complete the Recognition Form in order to maintain their status as an official Alumni Chapter. This process ensures we have accurate information regarding all board members, up to date social media handles, and provides you with an opportunity to think strategically about the events you want to host throughout the next fiscal year. This Annual Recognition Form MUST be completed by the President of the Chapter (if you will have a new Chapter President for FY27, please have them fill out the form).
Accompanying the Annual Recognition Form is the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) - a yearly agreement which highlights the expectations of being a volunteer within the Alumni Chapters Program. ALL board members listed on the Recognition Form will need to sign the MOU.
Lastly, one additional change for this year: we will NOT be requiring Annual Plan submissions as a part of the recognition process. While we have included a section and template for attaching an annual plan to your submission (and encourage you to do so), completion of an annual plan is not a requirement for recognition.
