“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction... It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.” — Ronald Reagan

Today, we pause to honor and remember the heroes who laid down their lives for our country. Their sacrifice is a powerful reminder that freedom isn’t free — it’s earned by the bravery of those willing to serve.

May we carry their legacy forward this Memorial Day with gratitude in our hearts and courage in our actions. 🕊️

Progress in HIV prevention has always depended on people — researchers asking hard questions, health professionals delivering care, volunteers participating in studies, and community organizations building trust where it matters most.

This HIV Vaccine Awareness Day, Emory Centers for Public Health Training and Technical Assistance joins NIH/OAR in recognizing the many people working toward a safe, scalable, and effective HIV vaccine.

We also recognize the essential role of community-based organizations in advancing HIV prevention and care. Through the COMPASS Coordinating Center, Emory Centers for Public Health Training and Technical Assistance helps strengthen the HIV response in the Southern United States by providing funding, training, and resources to organizations working to reduce disparities and end the epidemic.

Today is a reminder that lasting public health progress happens through both scientific discovery and community partnership.
