There comes a point when you stop asking whether you are ready and start asking whether you are willing.

Willing to step into a room where people will challenge you, teach you, and worship beside you. A room of brothers and sisters in Christ who will tell you the truth about what it means to follow God into leadership. Willing to learn from kingdom builders and legacy forgers who have already said yes. Willing to begin growing into the kind of spiritual leader your calling will require.

That is what 730 Weekend is for.

In just a few days, we’ll gather at Evangeline Booth College for three days of worship, workshops, fellowships, and honest conversations about what it means to follow where God is leading.

You don’t have to know exactly what comes next. You just have to be willing to take that step.

730 Weekend is September 11-13th. We’ll see you there.

Before everyone heads off to enjoy the Labor Day weekend, here's a little reminder of what makes EBC special: the people ❤️ From laughter and friendship to growth and calling, these cadets are building a community that will impact lives for years to come!

New classes.
New faces.
New opportunities.

A new semester can bring a lot of change, but there is one thing that hasn’t.

God.

The same God who called you here is the God who will meet you in the classroom, in the chapel, around the dinner table, and in the moments you didn’t expect.

As another year at EBC begins, remember: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” -Hebrews 13:8

Look around that room, and you will not find just one kind of person. You will find someone who left a career they were good at. Someone walking out years of recovery, one honest day at a time. Someone who came in certain, and someone who almost stayed home, sure, they were too old or too far from perfect to belong. None of them arrived as experts.

They arrived as themselves. And the same call that unsettled each of them is the reason they now stand in the same room, singing to the same God. That is what you will find at a 730 Weekend. Not a mold you have to fit, but a room already holding people who came exactly as they are.

Come and see. 730 Weekend, September 11 through 13.
Registration deadline is today, August 31.

EBC brings together cadets from completely different worlds, with different cities, countries, backgrounds, and stories of how they got here. Some grew up in The Salvation Army, while others discovered it later, and some felt called immediately, while others wrestled with it for years.

The Salvation Army mission does not erase where you came from; it unites you in where you are going. The community you build here transcends geography, background, and experience.

Ready is a feeling. Obedience is a decision, and sometimes the decision is small.

The very first word Jesus gave His disciples was not a plan or a title. It was an invitation: follow. He called them to be with Him before He ever sent them out. And in that nearness, walking beside Him, watching how He moved, asking the questions they were afraid to ask, they slowly discovered who they were and what they were made for. Calling was not handed to them in a moment.

It was revealed as they stayed close. That is what a 730 Weekend is built for. Three days in Atlanta to stand near officers and cadets, watch this life up close, and ask everything you have been carrying. You do not examine a call from a distance. You come near, and clarity finds you there.

You do not have to feel ready. You just have to come.
730 Weekend, September 11 through 13.
Registration deadline is August 31.

If any of these excuses are living rent-free in your mind, we would love to help.

"Too old to study again" ──> cadets arrive at 22 and at 52, and the staff meets you where you are.

"I'm behind on my education" ──> built-in support, from writing help to the AMP program.

"Single, and everyone's married" ──> officers serve faithfully single, and there is no pressure to be otherwise.

"A past I can't undo" ──> this campus is full of people whose past became their calling, not their disqualification.

"My family doesn't understand" ──> we will pray with you, and you will stand with a session that supports you while you figure it out.

Every cadet carried excuses too, and still said yes. The call does not wait for you to feel ready. It waits for you to be willing.

Green lawns and historic buildings, yes, but what sets EBC apart isn’t what happens inside them. The mission field begins at the front gate, the neighborhood you will serve is right across the street, and cadets step into real ministry from week one. Two years where learning and serving are never separate.

Come walk it for yourself.

Watch what changes. Same room, same worship, but the person walks in one way and leaves another. That is what happens when honest questions meet God and a community that has been where you are.

The people who came to a 730 Weekend unsure, afraid they were too old or too far from perfect, will tell you the doubt was real. They will also tell you that over three days, this became the room where the transformation began.

Come see what God is forming here.
