We're happy and proud to present Dr. Joanna Attardo ('15) with the 2026 IPPE Preceptor of the Year Award!

Dr. Attardo, manager at Kroger Pharmacy, has dedicated herself to shaping the next generation of pharmacists. As a preceptor, she designs clinically meaningful learning experiences and challenges students to think critically, build confidence, and grow beyond the classroom.

Her students say Dr. Attardo equips them with the skills, mindset, and confidence they can carry into their careers. We are proud to recognize her outstanding commitment to pharmacy education and patient-centered care. Thank you, Dr. Attardo!

We're proud to announce some amazing achievements by students in Dr. Clinton Canal’s lab.

Thomas Tyler Dick, a PharmD/PhD student, earned 3rd place in the International American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics - ASPET Toxicology Division poster competition at this year’s conference. His award-winning poster, titled “Target Mechanisms Underlying Xylazine-Induced Skin Lesions in Rats,” was co-authored by Tyler Dick, Mary Vu, Nader Moniri, and Clinton Canal.

In addition, PharmD/PhD student India Rayne Breuer was selected to attend the prestigious Stanford University SPRINT Behavioral Analysis Workshop. This highly competitive program provides advanced training in quantitative behavioral tracking and neural data integration through Stanford Medicine’s Neurobehavior and Neuroscience Methods Workshop.

The Mayor of Columbus, GA, recently named May 16, 2026 as Dr. Deandra Bradley (PharmD '26) Appreciation Day! The recent Mercer grad was lauded for her longtime service to the community, her leadership, and commitment to health equity. We are so proud of our 🐻 - Congrats!!

Congrats to Dr. Raquibul Hasan, who has been elected a Fellow of the American Heart Association. The designation recognizes sustained contributions to cardiovascular research, professional achievement, and service to the field.

Dr. Raquibul Hasan, associate professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Mercer University College of Pharmacy, has been elected a Fellow of the American Heart Association.

Congrats to Vivian! She celebrated completing Mercer's special pre-pharmacy track that kick-started her PharmD. Completing her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Commerce from Mercer's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in December 2025, Vivian enrolled in our January class and will earn her PharmD in 2029.
