The department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Georgia State University is dedicated to the pursuit of scholarly achievement and providing a better understanding of issues related to crime and criminal justice. Our faculty are nationally and internationally recognized as scholars who are committed to providing the best education possible to our students while simultaneously engaging in grou

ndbreaking research and significant service activities. The department houses many important Criminal Justice initiatives such as: Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange, the International Law Enforcement Enterprise, and the Crime and Violence Prevention Policy Initiative. Internships and fieldwork are a core value of the education provided and therefore makeup the final component of any undergraduate degree completed with the department.
