Undergraduate Research Opportunites Program (UROP) at Georgia Tech Empowering students to better the world and themselves through discovery We are a part of the Center for Academic Enrichment.

Georgia Tech's Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) works to enhance research experiences for undergraduates and to encourage undergraduates to participate in research. The program assists students in finding research projects, provides support for students and mentors with funding, and sponsors an annual Undergraduate Research Spring Symposium. The program also administers the Pre

sident's Undergraduate Research Award (PURA), supports the student Undergraduate Research Journal, The Tower, and provides training and assistance to graduate student and faculty mentors. A Student Advisory Group for Undergraduate Research (SABUR) and a faculty advisory group provide assistance and advice to the program.

To conduct your own research and take on projects on your own, talking with grad students and your PI can help you communicate your technical and career interests as well as learn about other potential projects. Submitting a PURA proposal is also a great way to conduct your own research supervised by Georgia Tech faculty!
