Three Powerful SEL Tools to Engage the Spirit, Delight the Child and Transform the Classroom!
This three-part presentation will begin by considering what Dr. Montessori referred to as the “Intelligence of LOVE”! We will examine the latest research on the role of the heart in aiding adults and children alike to emotionally self-regulate by connecting to and breathing from the heart; We will then introduce the labyrinth, a powerful kinesthetic teaching tool employed throughout the ages as a place of peaceful self-discovery; and finally, we will learn to employ stories, discussions, songs and playful activities as a means of generating “heart-centered reflection questions” designed to enable each child to recognize when they are “upset” and return to their natural, peaceful “pre-set”, with ease! 3 Hours.
