As bittersweet as it is to say goodbye to one of our very best, Philip Weltner Library is proud to cheer on Olivia Chapman as she writes the next chapter of her life’s journey! 🥹 Today, May 8th, marks her last day as the Library’s Interim Technical Services Librarian. 📚
Olivia has been an integral part of the Philip Weltner Library since October 2024. While working with us this past year-and-a-half, Olivia has grown to love learning about students and their interests through how they use the Library both as both a space and a service. She’s really going to miss working with and talking to the student workers, each of them bringing their own unique personalities and skillets to the Library and Archives. Olivia’s fondest Library memory was when she got to hear the stories and memories from the members of the Lynwood Park Foundation and their efforts to preserve their historic neighborhood through the Lynwood Park collection.
Olivia’s hard work was the backbone of Library operations while her warmth and kindness were the Library’s heart. ❤️ We at the Philip Weltner Library wish her nothing but the best as she embarks on new adventures in sunny Orlando, Florida!
If she could leave students, faculty, staff, and patrons some parting words, Olivia says
“If you have time to spare, come in and enjoy the library as a space!”
