From the classroom to the other side of the world. 🌍💉

Pretty surreal seeing former student Dr. Jordan Truby connecting with Program Director and VP of the Council on Accreditation, all the way in Australia at the 15th World Congress of Nurse Anaesthetists.

One of the best parts of this profession is watching the next generation grow into leaders, educators, and global representatives of nurse anesthesia. Proud moment seeing Emory represented on an internationally. 🇦🇺

The CRNA profession continues to move forward through mentorship, education, advocacy, and connection. The world is watching what nurse anesthetists can do.

Excellence in nurse anesthesia education requires depth, rigor, and innovation.

Our SRNAs are exposed to a broad range of advanced concepts and procedural skills throughout their training including point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), an increasingly valuable tool in modern anesthesia practice.

We’re grateful for community partners like Eddie Thomas who help bring additional expertise into the learning environment and enrich the educational experience of our students. Opportunities like these reflect our commitment to preparing knowledgeable, adaptable, and highly skilled clinicians who will continue to strengthen the CRNA profession.

One of the best ways to solidify your knowledge is to teach it.

Our third year SRNAs had the chance to work with Acute Care Pediatric and Adult NP students in a hands-on educational session focused on collaborative learning and skill development.

We’re proud to see our students continuing to grow not only in clinical excellence, but also in confidence, leadership, and service to others.

Emory Nurse Anesthesia faculty and alumni were honored to attend the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus Annual Heritage Gala in support of Dr. Jasmine Clark, PhD, and in celebration of leadership, scholarship, and community impact.

We are proud to see members of the Emory community contributing across academic, healthcare, and public service spaces. Engagement beyond the classroom and clinical environment reflects our commitment to advocacy, collaboration, and advancing access to care.

We also appreciate the continued support of the Georgia Association of Nurse Anesthetists (GANA) as a sponsor of this event and as a valued partner in advancing the nurse anesthesia profession throughout our state.

This annual event provides CRNAs & SRNAs the opportunity to engage with legislators, advocate for patient access to safe, high-quality anesthesia care, and support the future of healthcare in Georgia.

Leadership, scholarship, and innovation on display at IMSH 2026.

Dr. Russ Branch in San Antonio, presenting an interdisciplinary simulation experience uniting nurse anesthesia, nurse midwifery, and pre-licensure nursing students.

We would like to extend our sincere THANKS to all of our community partners who joined us for the Emory CRNA Program Career Fair!!! Your presence plays a vital role in exposing our students to career pathways, employment opportunities, and the breadth of what our profession has to offer.
