Georgia Tech FIJI

Georgia Tech FIJI Founded in 1848 Phi Gamma Delta is a social Fraternity, based on the values of Friendship, Knowledge, Service, Morality, and Excellence.

Since our founding in 1926, the Gamma Tau Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta has maintained a tradition of excellence at Georgia Tech. Brothers of Phi Gam lead a variety of campus organizations including FASET, SGA, Student Foundation, IFC, and Connect With Tech. Phi Gam also prides itself in the work done for the surrounding communities and winning the Philanthropy Trophy for events such as Habitat for H

umanity and FIJI Run for the Kids. Our intramural teams excel at the highest level, winning 14 of the last 15 Fraternity Intramural Trophies. The past athletic year was highlighted by winning the School Championship in flag football and dodgeball. Our social calendar features the Black Diamond Semi-formal in the fall and our Purple Garter Formal and Fiji Island Party in the Spring. Phi Gamma Delta is the most recent winner of the Dean Dull Trophy for best overall fraternity at Georgia Tech improving their record to three out of the past five years. We take much pride in what our house stands for and are looking for people that can contribute both in our community as well as in our Fraternity. Feel free to navigate through our website to learn more about our brotherhood and keep up to date with all that Phi Gam does on and around campus.

Andre has accomplished a lot over his time in college these past 3 and a half years. Since coming to Georgia Tech, he has interned with Walt Disney as a Machine Learning Engineer, Capital One as a Product Manager, and most recently with McKinsey as a Business Analyst. After just graduating early this December, he will be returning to McKinsey as a full-time Analyst! We’re so proud of Andre’s leadership and mentorship to younger brothers in the house!

We are so proud of Beau for being named a finalist for Mr. GT! Beau has always been a force for positive change in the Georgia Tech community and his service project idea for Mr. Georgia Tech is no different: “Be My Friend” aims to combat the mental health stigma on campus by normalizing talking to other students about non-urgent mental health matters. Check out for more info about his platform!

Voting is open until 6pm this Thursday (10/15/20) - you can vote at elections.gatech.edu

Over his 5 years at Georgia Tech, there’s very little that Philip Murray hasn’t done. Among his accolades are serving on the Executive board of GT MoneyThink (org teaching financial literacy to inner city high school students), being a member of the SGA Wellness committee, our chapter’s Philanthropy chair and Treasurer, and a crowd-wowing allstar on many of Fiji’s championship intramural teams over the years. We are also unbelievably proud of him for writing a petition to let students of the Georgia Tech Excel Program walk during Undergraduate Commencement which garnered over 9,000 signatures in less than a week. We couldn’t be happier to see his hard work pay off and for those students to walk across the stage later that month. Now that Phil has graduated himself, he will begin his career as a Customer Strategy Analyst for Revenue Analytics in Cumberland, Georgia. While we will miss Phil and the energy he brought to our brotherhood, we wish him the best of luck in this next chapter of his life. @ Atlanta, Georgia

We’re so proud of all that Jacob Lattie has accomplished during his 4 year tenure at Georgia Tech! During his time as a Yellow Jacket, he has been an ECE Teaching Assistant, a Research Intern at GTRI in the Electro-Optical Systems Laboratory, and a Vertically Integrated Projects team lead. After graduating with highest honors as a Computer Engineer this past Spring, Jacob will be starting his professional career just down the street as a Software Engineer at NCR. Wishing you the best Jacob! @ The Vessel

Among our most fundamental values as a chapter are friendship and morality. We would be grossly inconsistent with our values to not speak out in opposition against racism, as we mourn the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, among so many others.

We are committed to standing by all people of color, and especially the Black community, not only online but through our actions on campus as well, as we implement programming, training, and means by which to continually learn and to challenge our implicit biases. Through this, we hope to foster greater diversity within our chapter and within the IFC community.

To our Black brothers and friends, Fiji may not be the first thing on your minds right now, but we see you, and we are here for you.

As Asian and Pacific American Heritage month comes to a close, we celebrate brother Kevin Cho (PC’19) who was born near Seoul, South Korea.

When asked about how his journey and experience have been shaped by his heritage and upbringing, Kevin said “Most directly, I think maybe my narrative and outlook. We have a lot of ties to Korea and the heritage, the tradition and the philosophy. But then, you know, I grew up here which was a quite different reality than I had been exposed to before. Like many young people my age, I definitely struggled with this and finding grounding here in the States. But regardless of that, I think this is something that we all struggle / have struggled with in general. At end of the day, we’re all just looking for a place to belong and grow & people to share those very moments with. At Georgia Tech, Greek life has provided that and so much more for me and so many others before and hopefully after me. Grateful to be here, and even more for this place & the people that make GT feel like home.” @ Seoul, Korea

Graduating Senior spotlight #2: Brandon Brinker

We’re so lucky to have had Brandon be a part of our brotherhood the past 5 years! During his time at Tech, Brandon was on the Fundraising Committee for Habitat for Humanity, VP of Partnerships for MoneyThink, as well as serving on our executive cabinet as Recording Secretary. In his free time, Brandon also loves to DJ and has performed at various Philanthropic events on campus such as Dance Marathon and Relay for Life as well as other events on campus. After graduation, Brandon will be working across the bridge at NCR as a Software Product Analyst. Thank you for everything, Brandon!

Graduating senior Andrew Yowell has accomplished a lot over his Georgia Tech career! He has served as the president of Consult Your Community (a 501(c) (3) registered nonprofit that gives college students an opportunity to consult with local businesses over the course of semester long projects), a Georgia Tech tour guide for a total of 6 semesters, and our chapter’s treasurer over the 2019 calendar year. Andrew also said his Study Abroad experience in Asia was the most enriching experience of his college career. We wish him the best of luck as he begins his full-time career as an Incoming Analyst at Insight Sourcing Group right here in Atlanta. Thank you for everything, Andrew! @ Georgia Tech FIJI
