Nearly 150 years ago, Kappa Alpha Theta was founded as the first Greek-letter fraternity for women. Our founders recognized dedication, intelligence, and commitment in one another, and they also understood the potential of the college women who would follow in their footsteps. In the decades since then, Theta has continued to be recognized as a leading women’s group. Our ideas and programs have of

ten been on the cutting edge—as individual and as chapters, we are known for leading in our communities and on our campuses. We understand that leadership is not an office held or a title conferred. We know that every Theta has the capacity to create positive change in herself, in her chapter, in her Fraternity … in fact, in the world. Being a Theta leads women into a life of friends, experiences, and goals that she might not have had otherwise. Being a Theta leads a woman to personal excellence, offering her ways to become her best self. We are Kappa Alpha Theta. We are leading women.

Theta Nu values kindness and serving our Atlanta community 🤍 Sisters love giving back and regularly volunteering with impactful organizations in the Atlanta area. Below are some of the ways we outreached this past year!

• Mulched and raked a historic cemetery with
• Cleaned and served food at the non-profit playhouse
• Wrapped presents for children in the Atlanta foster care system with
• Baked and decorated over 200 cookies for GTPD during the Holiday season and wrote 150 holiday cards for seniors
• Packed meals with for Atlanta food pantries throughout the year and Rise Against Hunger for food aid in international locations
• Delivered meals to the Atlanta homeless with Food for Lives

In addition to these organized Theta volunteer events, sisters volunteer together on their own time too! Sisters are encouraged to meet a 7 hour minimum. However, most of our sisters exceed that number- volunteering an average of 10 hours a semester! Shout out to our awesome Community Service Director (.w) for always encouraging us to be the best Thetas we can be! 💖
