Hi Friends,



The next University of Memphis football game is this Saturday, December 1 at 3:30 p.m. when the Tigers play in the championship game of the American Athletic Conference versus the University of Central Florida Knights. The game is in Orlando, and will be televised on ABC. Atlanta area alumni and fans will gather to watch the game at Mazzy’s Sports Bar & Grill, 7160 Jimmy Carter Blvd., Norcross.



But wait, there’s more!



An hour before the football game on Saturday, the men’s basketball team tips off against Texas Tech in the Basketball Hall of Fame Invitational in Miami. That game is on ESPNU. So you are invited to join the true blue crew who will arrive at Mazzy’s at 2:30 to see the first half of the basketball game prior to the kickoff of the football game at 3:30. We hope to have a second TV available in the VIP room at Mazzy’s to allow us to monitor the second half of the basketball game after the AAC football championship is underway.



I hope you will join us at Mazzy’s Saturday afternoon for one or both games. If you haven’t attended any of our watch events, you’re missing a great time of friendship with nice folks from Memphis (or with a Memphis connection).

The next U of Memphis football game is this Saturday, October 6 at 7 p.m. when the Tigers host the University of Connecticut at the Liberty Bowl. Atlanta area alumni and fans will gather to watch the game at Mazzy's Sports Bar & Grill, 7160 Jimmy Carter Blvd., Norcross. The Tigers v. the Huskies will be the national college game Saturday evening on CBSSN.

Homecoming week at the University of Memphis is now underway, and the festivities climax with the gridiron match v. UConn Saturday evening. The Tigers want to bounce back from the loss at Tulane last week. I hope you’ll join your fellow Memphis alumni and fans to watch the game.

Looking ahead, upcoming games are:

Saturday October 13: Memphis v. Central Florida (UCF), 3:30 p.m. on ABC/ESPN/ESPN2

Saturday October 20: Memphis at Missouri, time and network TBA

Saturday November 3: Memphis at East Carolina, time and network TBA

Saturday November 10: Memphis v. Tulsa, time and network TBA

Hi Friends,

The University of Memphis Tigers defeated the South Alabama Jaguars last weekend 52-35.

The next U of Memphis football game is this Friday, September 28 at 8 p.m. when the Tigers play Tulane University in New Orleans. Atlanta area alumni and fans will gather to watch the game at Mazzy's Sports Bar & Grill, 7160 Jimmy Carter Blvd., Norcross. The Tigers v. the Green Wave will be the nationally featured Friday college game on ESPN2.

Here’s a cool fact: the Tigers are especially tough when playing on days other than Saturday. Memphis is 15-0 when playing regular-season, non-Saturday games since 2014. Come join your fellow Memphis fans to cheer on the Tigers, and keep the streak going.
