Georgia Tech completed the four-year EcoCAR Challenge cycle with a first-place win at the final competition. The team earned the first-place overall finish, 11 engineering awards, and two communications awards.

Over the four-year cycle, more than 250 undergraduate and graduate students from six Georgia Tech Colleges collaborated to reengineer a Cadillac LYRIQ EV, adding a new front motor, a clutch-enabled rear motor, and automated driving features. 🏎️🐝 | c.gatech.edu/4uGAaTW

While studying at Georgia Tech, Mike Pullen turned a problem he experienced as a football player into Vettex Sports, a grip-enhancing arm sleeve designed to help athletes protect against turf burns without sacrificing performance.

What started as a Georgia Tech class project with co-founder Mat Quon evolved through the full GT startup ecosystem, from Georgia Tech CREATE-X to ATDC, helping transform an idea into a company.

The Thomas A. Fanning Student-Athlete Performance Center is a new state-of-the-art facility designed to support the health, performance, and development of Georgia Tech student-athletes.

The 100,000-square-foot space features dedicated areas for strength and conditioning, sports medicine, nutrition, mental health services, and enhanced meeting and office space for Georgia Tech Football.

The center is also home to Georgia Tech’s first-ever sports science lab, using pro-model motion tracking and in-house analytics to help student-athletes train, recover, and perform at the highest level. 🏋️‍♂️🐝

Sherman Lofton Jr. and his daughter Shaina now share a special date — their graduation day from Georgia Tech. Both earned master’s degrees and became Double Jackets last Saturday! 🫶🎓🐝🎉

Shaina’s diploma comes from the School of Architecture, and Sherman completed the MBA he originally envisioned after crossing the stage as an undergraduate in 1990. -- https://c.gatech.edu/4npLcKj

Father and son Ayush and Shailesh Pai graduated together with their master’s degrees in computer science from Georgia Tech. While one completed the program on campus and the other through OMSCS while working full-time, both shared a passion for learning, AI, and pushing each other along the way.

After graduation, Ayush will head to the Bay Area to begin his career as a software engineer. Shailesh plans to continue applying his AI expertise professionally while continuing to learn and build in the field. 💛🐝 🎓
