The RUSH schedule for Theta Pi are below. I wanted to mention that we have lunches in the City Room during the week around 11am until whenever. If you are looking for friends on campus, come by and sit with us at lunch. Get to know us and let us get to know you. We love meeting new people! =) Your company would be most welcomed!
We now have our RUSH schedule available for those of you who would like to attend.
They are as follows:
9/01/2015 - "Psi U Likes Sports", 4:00-6:00, either Woodruff Park or Rec Center. This will be a sports game. If we get rec center, it'll be dodgeball. If we get Woodruff, it'll be ultimate frisbee.
9/02/2015 - "Meet the Greeks", 6:00-10:00, Speakers Auditorium in the Student Center. This will be tabling - where each IFC fraternity (AEPi, Kappa Sigma, Pike, Pi Kappa Phi, us, Sigma Nu, Lambda) will have their own table and all potential new members are sent in a line from one table to the next. After tabling there will be a short presentation on each IFC fraternity. This is an IFC Rush event.
9/03/2015 - "IFC Mixer", 6:15-9:45, the entire 2nd floor of Student Center West (AKA the University Center). This is an IFC Rush event. Potential new members will be sent from one room to another, where each fraternity will be able to meet and greet.
9/06/2015 - "Wrath of Kona", 6:00-9:00, library N271. This will be a meet and greet style of mixer where the focus will be on getting to know the potential new members. We'll have icebreaker-style improv games and a few party games (no intense story driven games, games like Quelf and Cranium are what I'm thinking of). I'll have iced coffee and mix-ins.
9/08/2015 - "Board Game Madness", 6:00-10:00, Student Center West (AKA the University Center) 225. This will be a board game night. Loribeth has graciously offered to bring tacos! This is one of our most successful nights that we throw during Rush. Emily, one of the actives, will lend games to the cause as well.
9/09/2015 - "Smash-A-Thon", 6:00-9:00, library N271. This will be a video game tournament, featuring 8 player Smash! Also other Wii games. It'll be great! We want you there!
9/10/2015 - BID DAY/RUNOUT, 3:00-10:00, Student Center Plaza. Rushers accept the bid of their fraternity. Each fraternity's new pledges do a runout (Greek alphabetical, we're second-to-last) through a banner. They have said that this will actually start at 5:15 but please show up early, just in case, so we can organize ourselves.
Pinning will be after bid day, 9/10/2015.
More information about that will be posted at a later date. Please share our RUSH schedule with your friends or if you have anyone you know at Geogia State University. We love meeting new people and we love making new friends! We are a very open minded group and we aren't just brothers, we're friends. We are the first co-ed fraternity on campus. I know that it's hard to make friends on campus, especially with a campus set up like ours, but we really do love meeting new people and we always want to make more friends! So, stop by during our lunches and please come to RUSH and see what we're about.
