Earlier this month, Representative John Lewis was in Washington DC at the Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture to celebrate Emory University School of Law's 100th year!

Emory Law's chair honoring U.S. Rep. John Lewis has been fully funded, allowing the school to conduct a national search for a scholar who will focus on areas "where racial discrimination persists."

Mark your calendars literature lovers: Critically acclaimed writer Junot Díaz will give a talk and sign books at on April 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. Díaz is the author of the 2007 novel "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao," which won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction and the National Book Critics Circle Award. The event is free and open to the public.

Congratulations Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing on your recent ranking!

Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing was ranked 4th in the nation according to US News and World Report's 2018 America's Best Graduate Schools. The ranking is the first time in Emory's history that any school has ranked among the top five.

Yesterday, we were at the Capitol for Chambers of DeKalb Day at the Capitol, organized by the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce. It was a great event and we had a chance to see Governor Nathan Deal and hear from the DeKalb delegation.
