I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the Common Black College Application (CBCA) Team for curating such an outstanding series of events during Kentucky Derby weekend in Louisville. The level of thoughtfulness, excellence, and impact demonstrated throughout these experiences was truly remarkable.

I also want to express my heartfelt appreciation to our CBCA Sponsors. Your continued generosity and commitment have helped empower more than half a million students around the world to complete the Common Black College Application and take meaningful steps toward higher education at our member institutions.

These CBCA-curated initiatives, strategically aligned with high-profile events like the Kentucky Derby, continue to expand access, opportunity, and awareness in powerful ways.

I look forward with great anticipation to what the CBCA Team will bring to Los Angeles during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. We are changing lives around the world.

On a lighter note…if my horse had only won the race, it would have been a perfect weekend.
