Neuromechanics Laboratory

Neuromechanics Laboratory Lena Ting's Neuromechanics Lab at Emory University. We got balance. We are also interested in motor skill in individuals with specific training in balance.

We are an interdisciplinary research group at Georgia Tech and Emory studying neural and musculoskeletal interactions for walking and balance. We are studying motor deficits and rehabilitation in Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injury, stroke, lower limb loss, and healthy aging. Our work uses both experimental and computational approaches to understand how we move. The lab is directed by Lena H. Ting, PhD, Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Emory University.

I'm honored to be appointed as the Portman Professor of Biomedical Engineering. I couldn't have done it without wonderful students, postdoc, colleagues, and collaborators!
I'm excited about pursuing all kinds of new research directions, looking at brain activity in balance, sensory coding, theory of the spinal cord, machine learning in gait, and more!
