Georgia State University is served by the University Library and the College of Law Library. Located on six Georgia State University campuses throughout metro Atlanta, the University Library provides faculty and students with open, and inviting educational facilities and an active online experience. As an integral part of the University community, the library welcomed more than 2 million visitors
in the past year. As a valued partner in student success, the library supports both teaching and research with extensive collections, innovative solutions, and outstanding assistance. Laptops and netbooks are also available for check out from circulation. The Atlanta facility includes 55 group study rooms, a 5th floor silent study area, and a variety of other comfortable study spaces. Students can access millions of resources instantly, including the University Library's collection of books, databases, journals, periodicals, and government documents, with close to 300,000 e-books and 50,000 e-journals. Subject librarians are available to help students, faculty, and the community use the resources that are provided, with a librarian assigned to work with each of Georgia State's academic departments, assisting with discipline-specific research. In addition, the University Library's Special Collections and Archives preserve rare historical materials. A mobile version of the library’s website is also available, allowing students to easily check their library account, computer availability, the library catalog, and library hours.
